The MBA Dissertation module is a core module in the Master of Business Administration programme at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). This module provides students with the opportunity to conduct independent research on a topic of their choice within the field of management.
Throughout the module, students will learn about research methods and approaches, as well as how to develop a research proposal and conduct a literature review. In terms of coursework, students will be required to complete a brief on research methods (2,000 words), a project (12,000 words) and a professional development report (1,000 words).
The dissertation topic can be chosen by the student in any management specialism they prefer, such as finance, marketing, human resources, or operations. This provides an opportunity for students to explore a particular area of interest and gain expertise in that field.
